How to Qualify for Your MMJ Card
Chronic pain is one of the most common qualifying conditions, affecting millions of Floridians each year. Patients experiencing long-term pain from injuries, nerve damage, surgery, arthritis, or unknown causes may qualify if the symptoms persist beyond the typical healing period. Many patients find that medical marijuana helps with inflammation, muscle tension, and pain flare-ups.
Individuals diagnosed with PTSD may experience intrusive thoughts, anxiety, nightmares, hypervigilance, and difficulty sleeping. Our physicians understand the sensitivity of this condition and evaluate each patient with care and compassion. Many PTSD patients report improved sleep and reduced stress with medical cannabis.
While not all forms of anxiety are automatically qualifying, patients with documented, severe anxiety may be approved if symptoms disrupt daily life. Cannabis may support relaxation, sleep quality, and emotional balance when used responsibly under physician guidance.
Patients managing cancer often experience pain, nausea, weight loss, stress, and sleep disruption. Medical marijuana can help reduce severe treatment-related symptoms and improve appetite, comfort, and overall well-being.
Patients with frequent, debilitating migraines may qualify when symptoms interfere with work, home life, or sleep. Many migraine patients report shorter episodes and improved comfort with THC- and CBD-based treatments.
Glaucoma causes increased pressure in the eye that can lead to vision loss. Medical cannabis may help reduce intraocular pressure and slow disease progression when used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Arthritis causes joint inflammation, stiffness, and pain that can severely limit mobility. Many arthritis patients find relief through medical cannabis, which may help reduce inflammation and improve joint function.
Chronic digestive conditions can cause inflammation, pain, nausea, and appetite loss. Cannabis may help regulate digestion and reduce flare-ups for individuals with inflammatory bowel disorders like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Conditions like Multiple Sclerosis, seizure disorders, and nerve pain often affect mobility and daily function. Medical cannabis can help reduce spasms, nerve pain, and seizure frequency in certain cases. Patients with neuropathy—often caused by diabetes or injury—may also benefit.
Severe, chronic nausea that interferes with nutrition and daily activities may qualify for medical cannabis treatment. Many patients find relief from persistent nausea and improved appetite with cannabis therapy.
Muscular dystrophy causes progressive muscle weakness and degeneration. Medical cannabis may help with pain management, muscle spasms, and overall comfort for patients living with this condition.
Under Florida law, any condition that produces comparable levels of suffering or functional impairment may qualify. If you're unsure, our physicians review your history, explain your options, and help determine eligibility.

How Medical Marijuana Works
Medical cannabis interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS)—a network of receptors responsible for regulating pain, mood, appetite, memory, sleep, and immune responses. When cannabinoids like THC and CBD bind to these receptors, they may help restore balance and improve symptoms associated with chronic medical conditions. According to research from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), cannabinoids may support relief for chronic pain, nausea, inflammation, muscle spasms, and anxiety. Ongoing studies continue to explore the therapeutic potential of cannabis and its role in modern medicine. Our physicians stay informed on the latest research to help patients choose products and dosages that match their symptoms and goals.

Excellent place! Very clean, they treated me wonderful,so I have nothing but good things to say abt them and the office..
Chad, the manager, very helpfully handled the situation with me. It turns out he wasn't wrong, but the state of Florida changed their rules without letting anyone know, gumming up the works for renewing my script for several weeks. Chad did everything he could, was very attentive and compassionate when I explained my myriad severe medical conditions, and did not give up on figuring out the situation until he had an answer for me, and it was a pretty speedy turnaround, 24 hours. He was very committed to helping me and I really felt cared for and appreciated. He also assured me that the company was committed to advocacy to the state to try to make things better for patients and even agreed to change the wording of the email to reflect the state's new policies and grey areas. He was very receptive to criticism and suggestions and I appreciated it a great deal.
So five stars to Chad and MyFloridaGreen -- they have always worked to get me the most out of my prescription, and their prices are reasonable (as reasonable as this system we have in Florida can get), they've always responded quickly over the last five or six years to my communications.
Zero stars to the state of Florida. Stop voting for Republicans, cannabis users. They want you to suffer, they want disabled people to disappear, and they don't care that the bureaucratic nonsense they've tried to push through to gum up the Florida MMJ works threatens the quality of life of millions of people. Stop voting for these monsters who don't think you deserve the right to safe, legal medication and want to make the process prohibitively difficult, confusing, and expensive.
All made the process seamless and comfortable.
